week 2 of Last Scrapper Standing

For the second challenge, you may scrap the subject of your choice but must use a black cardstock base and have at least two handmade flowers. They can be punched, die cut, hand cut, stamped or painted but not premade like Primas.

Here is the one I did.

Good luck. I am looking forward to seeing some really cool flowers!

Last Scrapper Standing contest has begun...

For the first week of this contest, here is your challenge:

Your subject is "an American Child." This does not have to be your title. You may interpret it how you want and use any colors you would like for your layout, but you must add stars and stripes to your layout.

You will have until Monday, June 21 at 3 pm to upload this first challenge in the official entry thread. If you need a reminder about the rules, they are listed here.

Here is the layout I created for this challenge... I used a star border punch and a silver star sequin along with the striped measuring tape paper.

We can't wait to see what awesome ideas you all come up with for this first challenge! Be sure to upload your layout no later than Monday June 23rd by 3pm CST.

Great American Scrapbook Convention

or The Day I stalked Tim Holtz and found him charming....
I watched him demonstrate alcohol inks, distressing ink in mini misters, and the tissue tape. He was funny and charming and smiled a lot. Very cute young man. (says the old lady) Here are a couple of pictures I took.

The tissue tape is translucent so you can see through it and layering it makes it more fun. You can ink it. It tears really easy. It is a little hard to find the end of it on a roll cause it is thin tissue but it looks intriguing to me.
